FeMn Ball Introduction:
Ferromanganese is made from manganese ore. Melted in a blast furnace or an electric furnace. Ferromanganese is also a commonly used deoxidizer in steel. FeMn Ball Application:
1. Steel industry: Ferromanganese is an indispensable deoxidizer and desulfurizer in the steelmaking industry. Good steel needs to be deoxidized and desulfurized during smelting, and the use of deoxidizer will greatly increase its cost. Therefore, ferromanganese is an inexpensive deoxidizer, and desulfurization refers to the removal of harmful substances such as sulfur from steel. Manganese iron can achieve the purpose of desulfurization very well, effectively reducing the content of harmful elements in steel and improving the quality of steel.
2. Foundry industry: Manganese iron can be used as inoculant and spheroidizing agent for ductile iron in cast iron, and can prevent carbide formation, promote the precipitation of graphite, greatly shorten the spheroidization time, and greatly reduce the form of impurities in molten iron. Cast iron quality to improve cast iron performance. And reduce the clogging of the smelting furnace nozzle, and effectively extend the service life of the smelting furnace.
3. Other industries: High carbon ferromanganese or manganese alloys are used as reducing agents for the production of low carbon iron alloys in the ferroalloy industry.
